Frequently Asked Questions

  • What kinds of damage can be corrected?
Stains, wrinkles, torn areas, pencil and pen marks, fading, missing segments, color adjustment, even cosmetic improvements: all can be corrected.
  • I'm not sure if the damage to my photo can be fixed.
Most people are amazed at how much damage can be corrected. When I contact you before beginning work on your photo, I will be happy to go into detail as to what the corrections will look like. However, if I feel you won't be happy with the improvements I can make, I will contact you before beginning work, and if you wish, return your photo to you at no charge.

  • Can you restore a rolled and brittle photo?
Yes, although cracking may occur. The great news is that any cracks that do occur can be corrected digitally (assuming I have your permission to flatten the photo).
  • Are my photos safe with you?
Yes. Having worked with all types of photos, I am very aware of how carefully they need to be handled. All orders are enveloped separately, and while I'm not viewing them, are stored in a safe and waterproof container. Your photos are unique and often irreplaceable; I treat them as such. The restoration process treats your original gently and harmlessly. Rarely, a photo is so fragile that damage from handling is a concern. However, I NEVER proceed with any action that might result in damage to your original without your express permission. In such a case, I will contact you to discuss how best to continue
